The story goes that the homeowner was stripping the home. Many household items are strewn around and a lot of drywall is in front of the house. There are no anchor bolts to secure the home to the foundation. Evidently a strong wind came up and like the proverbial wolf, it blew the house down. It looks like the owner built a standard home over a base from a mobile home steel foundation with no anchors. Pahrump doesn't build them like this any more, I think. Better check with building and safety and planning. Firewood anyone?
